Description

Pal Tiya is an all weather sculpting material, designed for building outdoor permanent sculptures. Non-firing, weather proof, strong, resistant to freezing. Ideal for creating your own garden ornaments, pots, planters, birdbaths, memorials, and more. When curing is complete the surface can be painted, or pigments can be added to colour the material during construction.

Mix by volume: Approx. 4 parts Pal Tiya powder to 1 part water. 

Pal Tiya is most effective as a strong hollow shell coating over various core materials: Tin foil, wood, foam, etc. Build a core first. Coating thickness is dependant upon size. 5mm for small sculptures, 6-12mm for medium, and 20mm for large pieces.

Working Time: 15 minutes of soft pliable sculpting time (for basic shape) followed by 2 hrs of gradual stiffening (for adding more detailing). Adding more over several days: 

Curing: First day wrap the sculpture in plastic to prevent drying. Next day add wet towels onto the sculpture then wrap again in plastic. Keep wet for a minimum of 5 days (the more water, the better the cure. Submerging in water after the 1st day is best)
