Why Don’t You Have Free Shipping - As a small business we are unable to offer free shipping as we do not have the economy of scale to get the discounted shipping rates that the larger companies receive or the profit margins on the individual items for the same reason. Australia Post also counts us as regional so even if you guys buy like crazy (a girl can dream) and we get to Band 5 instead of $6 for a small parcel like in Metro Melbourne we still get hit with $10. Trust us, with the bag, the box, and the wrapping we are lucky to break even on postage.

This same small scale means that we are able to hold a variety of supplies that are hard to find as we import them directly or that are niche products that the big companies don’t see value in holding which means we have a diversity of products not found elsewhere.

Handling Time - We package and ship your items by the next business day. While we endeavor to get parcels purchased prior to 12pm M-F out the same business day we do not guarantee due to teaching loads and staffing through out the week. 

Click and Collect – Items ordered via the website can be collected from The Old Auction House when you receive an email stating that they are ready for collection. Please call The Old Auction House on 5422 2047 if you haven’t heard one hour prior to your desired collection time and we will endeavor to have it ready. 

Please Note: Orders placed between 8am on Saturday and Midnight Sunday may not be able to be collected until Monday Morning at 10am due to staffing and teaching loads. 

Shipping - We aim to make shipping as affordable as possible and currently offer $15 flat rate shipping Australia Wide. Some items are not available to be shipped due to their weight/‘Insert Aust Post ridiculousness here’, and this is stated in the listing. These are available for in store pick up only.

Express Post $25 Flat Rate – If it is allowed by Aust. Post to be shipped Express we will, if it can't we'll refund you the additional $10. We know you want your art supplies yesterday but Aerosols, Alcohol Inks, Varnishes, and so many more are actually not allowed to go by air in case of explosion or fire risk!

We also know that the pressure change can make paints more likely to break out of their tubes/bottles, if you choose Express Post, we will not accept liability for this.

International Shipping - We do not currently offer International Shipping. 

Waste Reduction - We try our best to minimize packaging waste, while still sending your goodies safely! Postage boxes are uncoated cardboard & mail bags are compostable. Most bubble wrap and packaging in your parcel has been upcycled (from deliveries we receive in the precinct!) and is sourced as green as we are able to.

Parcel Tracking - All Orders include tracking and you will be sent the tracking number once your parcel is lodged.

Returns - We have a 7 day return policy. If you change your mind and want to return you purchase, you need to contact us via email within 7 days from the Australia Post Delivery Notification to request to return the item. Please include your order number to avoid confusion. Once approved you need to pay for the return postage and we will refund you the purchase price of the item (excluding postage) less a 10% restocking fee within 7 days of the receipt of the unopened and unused item. In the event that we do not receive the item or it is not in a ‘as new’ condition no refund will be processed. 

Faulty Item – In the event that there is a material fault or the item is not fit for purpose, please send us an email with your order number and photos of the item and we will organise for the return of the item and a refund on receipt in line with the ACCC.

Wrong Item – In the event that the incorrect item is shipped to you please email us a photo of the items received along with your order number and we will organise for the return of the item and resending of the correct item or a refund on receipt of the incorrect products.

Insurance - Parcels are not insured by us. All Australia Post Packages have an inbuilt insurance up to $100 coverage, once we lodge the package at the post office we take no liability for loss or damage to packages and the receiver will need to follow up with Australia Post. We will help lodge an investigation on the customers’ behalf with Australia Post and assist with any claim.

Signature on Delivery – is offered on both postage options for an additional fee. All other parcels will by default be “leave in a safe place if no one is home”

Clearance or Sale items are not eligible for return and sales of these items are final.

Failed Delivery/Returned Parcels - If your parcel gets returned to us due to; the address you provided being incorrect or invalid, you failed to collect the parcel from your Post Office/Parcel Locker/Collection Point or other receiver end issues, the cost of the ‘Return to Sender’ fine from Australia Post and cost of resending the parcel will be passed on to Customer prior to re posting. Alternatively you will be given a refund minus the cost of the ‘Return to Sender’ fine from Australia Post plus a 10% restocking fee.
